  1. Parental Guidance, child may learn a term & say it in school. Makes sense to me. It’s a rating to inform people, not an edit to protect people.

  2. What I got out of the article (because this isn’t too surprising) is that….there was a Mary Poppins Returns?

I mean, I know there was, because I saw it in theaters, but I cannot recall a single bit of that film. You might as well toss that up on the board of “films that don’t exist.”

  3. I bet it’s because “supercalin***alisticexpealidocious”

    /s, obviously.

  4. That’s fine.
How many years did *Song of the South* exist in the world before we realized what it was?

  5. > Though the BBFC did not disclose the language which caused the reevaluation, the Daily Mail reported that it is due to the use of a racially insensitive term for the Khoekhoe, an indigenous group in South Africa. According to the Mail, the word is used twice in the film by Admiral Boom (Reginald Owen), once when referring to the chimney sweeps whose faces are covered in soot.

In reference to chimney sweeps with blackened faces:

    > We’re being attacked by Hottentots!

    So… yeah, this tracks.

  6. I always thought the graphic violence and adult themes would have gotten them there long ago.
