  1. Already? It’s constant and ongoing. If Russia isn’t busy steering a presidential election they’re taking part in midterms and elsewhere steering legislation in their favor and otherwise just sowing the seeds of discontent to divide public opinion unnecessarily

  11. This is not something we can effectively combat and not enough is being done to develop the means to do so. The same thing happened with Brexit by the Leave campaign. They lob a grenade of misinformation, you go and put it out, and before you’re even done they lob another one.

  25. What kind of disinformation are they spreading? Give some examples? I read the article and all they’re saying is that Russia is spreading disinformation and propaganda in europe and the states but they give 0 examples as to the kind of lies that are being spread. If they gave examples then people could guard themselves against the misinformation, as it stands this is little more than just spreading paranoia backed with no evidence.

  30. Let’s assume USA doesn’t interfere in elections overseas as well. Yeah, sure they don’t. Nato was supposed to not advance eastern Europe border, yet their are today aiming Ukraine. Just imagine, in a really utopic possibility, if Candada allowed Russians bases in their territory, what America would do? Pacifically try a deal with Canada or bomb the hell of it? For much less America imposed a criminal embargo to Cuba untill today. The reality is, America thinks the world can not decide their own fate, if this fate is not aligned with their interested. I don’t see much difference from what Russia and America does overseas, maybe the level of violence, but then I think all wars promotored by US and how many innocent lives were lost and comes to the conclusion that both sucks equally.
