THE victory parade for the Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowl win has ended in chaos after two people opened fire near the main stage at Union Station.

Police have confirmed that one person has died and at least nine others, including children, were injured after chaos erupted at the Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowl Parade.

“At the conclusion of the rally there were shots fired west of Union Station near the garage and several people were struck,” Capt. Jake Becchina, a spokesman for the Kansas City Police Department told the Kansas City Star.

“We need people to exit the area as quickly and safely as possible and avoid the parking garage in order to facilitate treatment of shooting victims,” Becchina said.

  2. Condolences to the families of the victims. With the benefit of hindsight, I sincerely hope that lessons will be learned this time and gun safety laws will be reviewed thoroughly and vigorously to ensure that this doesn't occur again on US soil. Prayers, vigils, resolve and meaningful dialogue, not the usual lip service given by opportunistic career politicians or useless Mayors

  7. Do not go to a public event in a state where every one is armed; pretty simple. They openly carry and openly use their firearms.

  8. Hummmm…. It will be interesting to find out if that young, dark male on the ground, who was said to have a gun that fell out if his pocket, legally obtained the weapon.
