Hey all,
I’m looking at a really nice apartment to rent but it is near the Abwasserreinigungsanlage Werdhölzli (Sewage disposal factory in Zürich). I visited the area and didn’t notice any strange or unpleasant smell. Honestly if I hadn’t looked at Google maps I wouldn’t have noticed it existed. Was it just a happy coincidence or is it always like that?
I like the area but don’t want to open my window and smell pop 24/7. I assume since the Flussbad Au-Höngg is next to it and it is that popular it wouldn’t be possible to smell bad all the time.
Does anyone have any experience living or working in the area? Should I avoid it?
I found an old article from 2016 about this (https://www.oltnertagblatt.ch/limmattal/zuerich/den-anwohnern-stinkts-endlich-ergreift-das-klarwerk-werdhozli-massnahmen-ld.1585616) but it seems like it was something that it has been solved.

Can’t say anything about this place, but I drove by the sewage treatment in Hinwil more than 50 times, and there was only once some unpleasant smell.
