Good. This needs to be done. Initially in advisory, training and support roles. It is high time for this discussion.
Based France.
hard for Russia to argue escalation as their troops are already in Ukraine. Still I doubt allies will take this step, nor has Ukraine asked for it to the best of my knowledge.
Some more tough talking. They can’t send enough shells, but will send troops? I’m supposed to believe that?
I seriously doubt Macron.
Seriously.
He is still trying to score political points, not fulfill promises.
The problem is producing enough 155mm shells last time i checked. Why are we talking about sending troops, instead of increasing production of said shells?
I’m ashamed of Western Europe, 2 years on and these pathetic clowns can’t even supply enough ammunition to allow Ukrainians to fight ruZZki facists
These shameful “leaders” don’t understand that if Ukraine falls they will need to fight ruzzki hordes in Europe
Don’t count on the USA. Lost war at Southern Border. Getting asses kicked in Yemen and Trump will Knell and Kiss Putlers Feet while Babbling some BS about unfair elections
I’ve been wondering how long it is gonna to take before another countries army is in Ukraine. Similar to how WW2 was in 1940 after France surrendered. Like things went pretty well for nazi Germany until about 1942.
Didnt have France a Mercenary Company like Wagner too? Putin couldn’t say something if Ukraine would pay them (with western money)
“There’s no consensus today to send in an official, endorsed manner troops on the ground. But in terms of dynamics, nothing can be ruled out.” – Macron
Pretty sensationalist title on this article, but that’s how you sell news. It’s a very general statement: “We don’t know what’s going to happen in the future, so nothing was specifically ruled out.”
Fuck this bellend Putin.
Viva la France! Lead the way le coq!
We got your backs!
Good.
hard to conceive of France sending troops without being part of some NATO framework, which is unlikely, at least in the immediate future.
Nato country’s sent their fighter jets and pilots the war would end.
France fighting in Europe has not been a serious threat since June 17th, 1815. (Day before Waterloo)
I think NATO will be all or dedicated to be going in that direction by the 3rd year anniversary.
History will repeat itself….again.
Different dictator…..same script.

I mean talk about high risk high reward. If nato just starts slowly entering Ukraine is there any scenario where it actually calls putins bluff and he retreats a bit? Likely not but an interesting thought
Imagine if biden said this
Quite big, in the sense that in the beginning of the war, countries were commonly trying to distance themselves from the conflict. While this message underlines a commitment to Ukraine as well as an understanding of the importance of the war beyond just Ukraine’s interests. It really shows how much has changed compared to the beginning of the war.
He isn’t making any type of commitment through the statement, but never the less, don’t underestimate the significance. Thumbs up to Macron for this one.
And that’s what a guilty conscience sounds like.
Some of you are acting like no British / American and other special forces aren’t in Ukraine already.
That’s pretty fucking wild, and what’s Putin going to do? Does he want to fuck with the only country that came out and said it had an “escalate to de-escalate” strategy during the cold war?
Is that Macron or Micron? His ego gets in the way of any sense of reality. If he had clearly seen the situation for what it was years ago and taken steps to deal with it then maybe, but he believes his bullshit.
