When politicians so transparently use “our” when talking about something they have precious little to do with ..

It’s not your city, Anderson. You’re not from London and your extremist views aren’t welcome here. We voted for Khan, we didn’t vote you or for the racist who told us that we shouldn’t vote for the scary brown man.
Anderson’s comments may have been ham-fisted (as they often are), but the salient point is not entirely without merit.
We all know if it had been the EDL projecting “send ’em back” on to Big Ben and blocking Westminster bridge, Khan would have demanded the met come down on them like a ton of bricks.
The recent palestine demonstrations have brought a rather worrying two-tiered policing system to light, Anderson just isn’t articulate enough to talk about it properly.
His whole statement is nonsensical. On one hand he’s claiming “hundreds” of people are being arrested at pro-Palestine protests yet on the other hand he’s complaining that he had to act because he’s sick and tired of watching the police stand back and do nothing.
He’s literally just speed-running that fascism checklist. Enemy is both weak and strong, I can’t apologize because it would show weakness on my part, I’ve got to act against this deep social threat (which is totally not a conspiracy theory) and the rules be damned!
Considering the hysteria over the antisemitism in the Labour Party, I’m so glad the rampant Islamophobia in the Tories is finally getting a spotlight.

Lee Anderson only won his seat because hardly anyone bothered to show up to vote in 2019. He got fewer votes that the previous Conservative candidate Tony Harper who came in second in 2017. The guy is a nobody who shouldn’t be given the time of day!

There would be a fair amount of uproar if someone had said this about a Jewish mayor
The Prime Minister and the Mayor of London complain about Islamaphobia and attacks on people and the endangering of lives, racist attacks and racism.
A percentage of people feel the same.
Conspiracy theorys save lives of all cultures in different countries because of the way the Prime Minister influenced by communities have been running the country in recent years influencing state poverty and state tax raids.
These people fully well know whats going on in other countries, personally the guy might have been outspoken ‘but that was a harsh red card ref’.
Whether Labour win the next election or not its not going to change funding or other countries that are able to help thier communities? Thoughts and opinions, facts?
If someone even so much as pressed a like button on what he said, and his comment was about a Jewish mayor, they’d rightly be in trouble.
The only double standards here is the attitude by the government to the same trope.
And if you believe the city is run by islamists, why not think the country is over-run by Hinduists, or indeed that jews control whatever they are assumed to do by the racists that think it?

If Johnson was still mayor, nothing would be any different than it is under Khan with regards to these protests. Khan being mayor means nothing when it comes to the independent actions of the people of London and Anderson knows this. He is just using concern to hide his blatant racism.
This isn’t about Lee Anderson that’s not the big pictures. This is about the Islamicist threat to British democracy. I don’t think Khan is a radical Islamicist, not one bit. I don’t trust that First Minister of Scotland person, who could not bring himself the say the word Jews in his holocaust memorial speech. Then there are charitable donations to the Gaza by the first minister, who exactly is getting the money.
Sitting side by side Tories as an ex-miner is fucking pathetic. He’s the equivalent of that hunchback in the 300 that sells out Leonidis.
It’s incredible that elements of our media and politicians have pushed this conversation to such an extreme that saying that you agree with the UN that Israel is illegally occupying Palestinian land and has committed war crimes (in the past even if you don’t think they have now) and it should stop is racist. But saying that it should continue is fine

Khan wrote that “white people don’t represent real Londoners”, so he’s also clearly a bit of a casual racist himself.
Basically, if he wears a suit he’s a liar and get rid of both.

I used to not like khan that much, but that the Tories get so upset with him has made me like him much much more
