  1. Sauce?

You cited names, but not the article you’ve pulled this from.

  2. This sub has done a complete 180 in the last month. Any post criticizing how well we were being told the economy was doing would immediately get downvoted to hell or removed. Any comment would get downvoted or removed.

Not complaining about the change to allow the reality of things to now be seen, but what actually happened? Did some super mod get tossed or something?

  3. Amazing that we were operating with basically zero layoffs for so long during the massive labor shortage. I guess that can’t continue forever.

For context, there were 82,000 job cuts in January, which would be just under a million per year if it continues at this rate. In 2001, when there were far fewer jobs and people in the US, the same report showed two million jobs cuts.

  4. Interesting, but not really useful without more detail. Frankly seems like it could just be an announcement by a single firm or by one of the myriad of firms that overexpanded during covid.

  5. At first glance I thought it was a map of Biden’s last exit from stage.
