Yeah, because they’ve done extremely well so far cracking down on uninsured, unlicenced and banned drivers that they can now move on to the real dangers on the road.
Good, these things are great but some people just don’t give a fuck when using them
Great news
A lot of pedestrians, cyclists and drivers will agree that those things are the current cancer on the road. No exercise benefit like bycicles, no benefit in speed or comfort like cars.
>Gardaí have begun reviewing testing equipment options for new roadside checks planned to take some powerful e-bikes and e-scooters off the roads
It’s not so much the power as it is people, mostly Deliveroo drivers, modding their bikes to remove the pedal assist. At that point they’re technically electric motorcycles and need insurance, a licence and everything else a motorbike needs.
You see them all over the place.
This is it. Targeting the real criminals of Ireland
Fantastic news these need to be properly scrutinised
good luck with that; they check / stop the balaklavad motorbike thieves to this day.
👵 🇮🇪
New laws, same lack of enforcement…
Widespread Red light breaking 😴
Uninsured and banned driving 😴
Speeding in urban areas 😴
Escooters 🚔🚨🚔🚨🚔🚨🚔🚨
Local community informed the Garda that there where a pack of lads regularly trying car doors and house doors at night and ransacking them.
Happened one night, loads reported to the Garda. The next night same thing.
They can’t stop basic levels of crime so they resort to this crap.
I see Gardai have their priorities straight and are going against the biggest threat on the roads finally.
Every day in Finglas I see them cuntin scrambers flying up and down Tolka Valley Road doing wheelies around cars and this is what the Garda wanna go for. Arseholes.
