Trump’s criminal past is catching up to him at the worst moment politically

  1. The fact he’s not in jail in fear of retaliation is astonishing

  2. ” Trump’s criminal past is catching up to him at the worst moment politically”. For trump, sure it is. But it couldn’t come at better time for anyone with even a casual interest in accountability and the rule of law.

  3. Running for President is his anesthetic. Any other normal person having so many legal and financial problems at his age would blow their brains out to put an end to this misery of a life.

Watching him losing in November will be like watching the end of a Greek tragedy. ”The Rise and Fall of the Man Who Wanted to Buy the Reality”.

  4. Rich people only go to jail for one reason.

They threaten/ripoff other rich people. Madoff, Epstein etc…

Trump is in a protected class.

He can rip off the poor who work for him. Rape people. Cheat, fraud, theft. Nothing he can do will land him in jail because the system was made for people like him.

  5. Blah blah blah

Same hopeful drivel we’ve heard for years

He has a 50% chance of being president again

Our future is more or less left up to a coin toss

  6. Criminal past? He’s doing criminal things from the 70’s up until tomorrow.

  7. I’d like to think that this is happening at the best possible moment

  8. Funny how the byline right under the headline completely undercuts the Clickbait headline:

    >At least one of Trump’s four criminal trials is set to begin **while the others are now in jeopardy**

  9. Well, let’s be honest here. Trump has been a criminal for almost his entire career. His business was effectively built upon money laundering and fraud. But he had a form of protection for decades, by the NY and Washington political/intelligence establishment. It’s the only thing that explains why he was able to conduct business the way he did for so long. And the types of fraud and money laundering he engaged in are also likely engaged in by many many real estate and casino billionaires. And like them, he has over 4 decades avoided any serious criminal investigation – until he got into politics. So it’s not as if the criminal investigations into him just coincidentally coincided with his second run for President. Let’s not be naive. The criminal investigations are happening now precisely because he is viewed as a political wildcard or a threat to the system. Corrupt candidates like Trump should have never been in the position they were to even run for President – but that is the American system.

  10. Could have fooled me. I don’t see him in jail yet. Articles like this seem only to be clickbait.

  11. Not one single day will pass without DJT being fined more than $100,000 in the case of the historic $454 million judgment, in a figure that is growing every day…
Not only is DJT going to suffer, but he’ll also be losing his money, every single day.

  12. Id argue its already been long enough and while there might have been an even better time now is good too, this dude is too deranged and dangerous to serve in any public office ever again.

  13. He’s running *because* of his criminality, note in spite of it.

  14. I shall never be able to understand why he isn’t behind bars already. Rape is a crime that is punishable by prison, and as to selling classified documents then that would be considered HIGH TREASON everywhere else.

  15. Every fiber of America needs to prevent him from getting elected again. This is no time to start fucking around with unrealistic purity tests.

  16. Nothings going to happen to him its been eight years and nothing sticks. We have a corrupt political system. Liberals should be changing the system so guys like this cant do any more stupid shit but theyre also criminals themselves and have no political project beyond status quo.

  17. Heh criminal past. He has also criminal present and future if not thrown into jail or out of a window

  18. In the time I skimmed that article, deadbeat Donny went another hundred bucks in debt.

  19. Is it really though?

Sure he’s got some rulings against him but he won’t pay and the appeals will delay it. If he has to pay MAGA/GOP will bail out their man. Maybe a foreign government pays it off to continue the chaos.

Politically he’s as popular as ever with the Republicans. The nomination is guaranteed.

  20. Was this article written by AI? The “both the right and left sneaker combined” part has me wondering…

  21. What’s to stop him from defecting to Russia if he loses the election? He’ll be on the hook for an impossible amount of money to the US government at that point. Rather than get locked up, I think it’s an easy move for him to explicitly do what he’s been implicitly doing for years.

  22. The worst possible moment would have been before he had the opportunity to delay his criminal trials past the elections. So I disagree.

  23. Worst timing possible… but perfect timing for the democrats No ? Jeez What a coincidence!

  24. Or the best moment politically if you’re not a complete idiot.

  25. Don’t give into the doomers saying “we’ve heard this before.”

A lot of them want you to loose hope. His civil penalties are likely going to cripple him. It will make him more dangerous in the short term, but the odds of him fucking up his empire and bringing the RNC with him go up every day. Look at what MAGA is doing to state parties. Don’t take your eye off the ball.

  26. He’s a blatant criminal and traitor. He shouldn’t have a legitimate political anything.
