  8. This can simply be avoided by providing Ukraine with all the necessary hardware. They can handle Russians themselves in that case and not one western soldier has to fall.

  14. It’s a pretty obvious escalation that would almost certainly lead to a larger war, but it isn’t necessary. All Ukraine needs is the ammo and range, and they can beat Russia back. Just send Ukraine more munitions amd equipment

    The same Russian state media: “We should weaken the West wherever it’s possible, and if it’s would be needed, we should/can destroy it.”

  17. How about this variation: As of 12am next Tuesday, Ukraine will be considered a full member of NATO. If by 11:59pm on Monday there are still Russian troops anywhere on Ukraine’s territory (as recognized by the international community), article 5 will have been invoked by 12:01am on Tuesday.

    NATO would systematically destroy Russias military assets and cripple Russia and weaken them Into submission, there’s not tactical reason to invade Russia proper
