> THE SNP are considering a “disengagement” protest in the House of Commons in order to keep pressure on the embattled Speaker Lindsay Hoyle, reports say.
> A party source told the BBC: “We are acutely aware we could cause a lot of problems down here that could disrupt the process. “We don’t want to cause trouble for the sake of it – there’s a purpose to everything we’re trying to do.”
Absolute MAGA
Finally.
One day they’ll consider doing the day job, I’m sure.
Countries of the world will be trembling that want away MPs who are happy enough to collect the pay packet in the meantime might have a wee moan in the Commons, though, lest they be targeted next.
Only a matter of time before one of them lifts the mace and starts bonking tories of both colours on the head
Is that the same Soeaker who controls the sergeant at arms and can physically throw them out?
Flynn looks like he could put up a fight, but most of the SNP MPs look like either Jabba the Hut or old homeless neds, so not sure they’d be good in a scrap!
Become such a pain in the arse that the next Tory prime minister before the general election dissolves the union out of sheer spite.
Finally a plan I can get behind.
They are so out of touch. Do they actually think anyone thinks this makes them look good?
They shamelessly tried to used Gaza situation to try and win votes from Labour voters and they are now throwing a hissy fit because there’s plan didn’t work. What about actually doing something useful.
For a party that claims to want to break up the union, they arent disrupting the House of commons enough.
They’ll kick us out if we are a nuisance.
… Wait.. That’s genius.
That would be good entertainment. They should go for it.
Sinn Fein-Lite.
If the SNP do this labour and the tories would leave their shit and might even try to censure them despite the fact those bastards broke the rules in the first place
Yup this comment section is what I expected, classic labour brigading
So a completely pointless protest? (Sounds on brand) the moment they are disruptive they will be asked to leave if they don’t they will be thrown out by the sergeant at arms. If this becomes systemic they probably censor.
A “disruption protest” is in the same spirit as the suggestion I got downvoted for that they may as well just refuse to take their seats as they basically do (and can only do) bugger all in London except try and be gad-flies to the UK’s permanent neoliberal government which ignores Scotland and much of the English working class – has done for about 40 years. And now even that isn’t working in respect to crucial issues because of stitch ups. So what is the point? Imagine if they donated their salaries to something worthwhile. I’d vote for that.
