It is produced as dog food. Meaning it is produced by a company not licensed for and who does not intend to produce food for human consumption. Which also means that the animal parts used may not come from animals that were slaughtered for human consumption but maybe slaughtered for other reasons.

To put it more clearly: If you eat stuff produced as animal feed rather than for human consumption you should be worried about contamination and bacteria, such a e-coli.
Is there any special reason you do grocery shopping in Fressnapf and not in ordinary supermarkets ?
