Big uptick in female murderers lately? Or just in the reporting of them?
And stoning, I’d not be using “the Bible says” as a justification for violence of any kind in the twenty first century.
I’m a born-again Christian, and it breaks my heart to think that anyone would beat a child (or anybody) to death. Edit: I assumed I would take some abuse for identifying as a born-again Christian, but I am willing to take it if it means people know at least one of us isn’t a child abuser.
The bible might but the our laws don’t, and religion doesn’t trump them.
> Christina Robinson, 30, also immersed her son in scalding hot water causing severe burns and shook him so violently that it resulted in brain damage, a court heard.
Fucking hell what kind of monster does this to their own child. (or any for that matter)
A book written two thousand years ago has archaic views on corporal punishment? I am shocked.
Goddamn religious nuts doing the evilest of shit in the name of God. Why would you even want a deity who tells you to beat your kid to death?
I hope she gets life. She won’t, but she should. She should breathe her last breaths locked in a cell. I really feel for her husband, because I cannot imagine the trauma of finding out that your wife tortured & murdered your son when you’re stuck away at work. Poor bloke, poor boy. Yet another case of people being focused on faith over morality, so gross and debased.
It’s our fault for importing Christian fundamentalists into this country. What did we expect? This kind of shit is all too common in certain communities i.e. Christian ones.
Disgusting individual. No religious truly person would inflict this pain and suffering on their child. Hope she rots
The bible may very well include a passage about caning (spareth the rod I think it is) but I’m also fairly certain that it says no killing and no adultary. Sounds like she’s picking bits to fit her own wants.
I think it also says something about whipping bankers so I might start using ‘the bible told me to’ as an excuse for things in the future.
I said it before and I’ll say it again, humans who do evil shit are evil in themselves and will use anything to justify it. Religion is an easy out for them.
