      Gareth Wyn Jones, who met with Rishi Sunak, has been forced to install a security system after police warned him about a recent death threat made against his family.

     A farmer has received death threats for protesting against Welsh government agricultural reforms and been branded a “traitor” by Welsh nationalists for meeting with the prime minister.  Gareth Wyn Jones, 56, will join a protest outside the Senedd on Wednesday against the devolved government’s plans to force farmers to have 10 per cent of their land covered by trees and 10 per cent dedicated to wildlife habitat to receive basic subsidies.

     The upland farmer and social media personality, whose family has farmed for more than 350 years in Llanfairfechan on the North Wales coast, has been forced to install a security system after police warned him about a recent death threat made against his family for his outspoken views. 

    Farmers have been protesting against the devolved Welsh government’s plans for the agricultural sector.

  3. Tories don’t belong in Wales. I am intolerant, but I have never met someone who has chosen to be a Tory who doesn’t have at least a touch of evil in their heart.
