Lindsay father founded Israel Friends of Labour and was swanning about in Israel last year.
What people have been saying about Parliament for centuries is true, they don’t care about the Scottish except for our oil and gas reserves.
This is going to be our new UK government folks.
Our voice, our representation, saying ” we know you all want this to stop, watching screaming children being targeted by snipers, being deliberately starved to death, being forced at gunpoint to an area where they are bombed by missiles we helped pay for ( profit, jobs…you understand ), where nurses, doctors, charity staff, reporters, anything that moves is slaughtered on the spot…we know you want it to be stopped, and so do we we really do…but those doing it are our pals and we will not tolerate the slightest criticism in any shape or form…we will disrupt the honour of our ancient parliament to get our way and even ignore our own elected body of Labour members
We want the mass murder of tens of thousands of innocent women and children to stop, we really do…but our pals say there is a very good reason for it so let’s not rush, and please don’t object, it’s a special, very special unique kind of racism to do so.
Labour : its us or the tories so like it or lump it or go fuck yerself.
He is a labour man, lying is hard wired.
I wish they cared this much about Scotland.
I hesitate to post this here, due to the fact that any mention of the countries sitting at 32 degrees North, seems to attract the vilest comments from recent or rabid commentators.
*Big deep breath.* However, I just watched a trailer for the Anthony Joshua v Francis Ngannou fight which take place as part of the money no object ‘Riyadh season’.
As expected it’s completely over the top and delves into vintage arcade fighter mode. As I was watching it and thinking of the cost of the fight and the promotion, I wondered what the on the ground reaction from the Arab countries is to Saudi Arabia’s business-as-usual approach whilst children are being slaughtered by one of the most advanced and best funded military operations we’ve ever witnessed.
Unsurprisingly there’s not a lot in English google search. Only one bit of coverage stood out and it’s Tony Blair’s gurning mug glad handing despots as he travels the world in Air Bambi.
Interestingly among the stifling diplomatic language that says nothing and means everything. The Atlantic Council have tucked a survey done by the Arabic Centre in Washington, of 8,000 folk in 16 Arab countries on a variety of questions on the current conflict. There’s some real eye openers in there as to how this is never going away.
Notably it reveals things that the UK and US media steer clear of, for example:
82% of respondents said that Hamas is not similar to ISIS
50% believe that the US military and political support is the most important factor for the continued hostility.
59% of respondents reported that they have become certain there would be no possibility for peace with Israel
82% reported that they believed that the US media was biased in favor of Israel, only 7% believed that it was neutral/unbiased, and 4% reported that it was biased in favour of Palestine.
I suspect that would be similar for the UK media
76% reported that their position had become more negative towards the US
**On the recognition of Israel, the results show that Arab public opinion is almost unanimous in rejecting the premise of recognising Israel, at a rate of 89%, compared to only 4% who support its recognition.**
92%, believe that the Palestinian question concerns all Arabs and not just Palestinians.
This is the most important part and relevant to the SNP motion.
When asked about their opinions on what measures Arab governments should take in order to stop the war in Gaza, 36% of respondents stated that Arab governments should cancel all relations or normalisation processes with Israel, 14% stated that aid and support should be brought into Gaza without Israeli approval, and 11% believed that Arab governments must use the oil card to put pressure on Israel and its supporters. Meanwhile, 9% believed that Arab countries should establish a global coalition to boycott Israel, and 8% expressed that Arab governments must provide military support to the people of Gaza.
What the SNP were trying to do with the ceasefire and what Labour has done is fluff. Boycotts of South Africa eventually broke Apartheid, the UK needs to stop exporting weapons and the means of operating weapons to Israel, we need to stop buying products that benefit the economy of Israel and we need for the UN to denounce Benjamin Netanyahu as a war criminal.
The debate failed because the snp made an absolute fuck of the motion by tabling a debate where the cease fire only applied to Israel.
Typical amateurish bullshit
89 MPs calling for him to resign now. He’s done for.
