Will be following this case, because it seems like a bit of a weird one.
> Brian Low, from Aberfeldy, was found dead in the Pitilie area on the outskirts of town on Saturday morning.
Scotland, an hour north of Stirling to save you all a click.
Unless Brian was wearing a deer costume, this seems unusual.
I wish the article told us what happened to his dog.
It might just be a local psycho with a crime of opportunity tbh. People can really be deranged in remote areas.
William have a personal day off to shoot the peasants!
Damn poor guy. What an utterly random event. Part of me wonders if this going to turn out to be a mishap where some idiot was messing around with their gun and a poor old man got unlucky.
Still, we’ll have to wait and see.
Unlikely to be random. Brian is either up to no good and someone knew he was there or Brian stumbled into something he shouldn’t have seen. If it was a bloke with a rifle mistaking him for a deer it would be in the article.
Normally killings are targeted. Very scary if this was a random killing.
Farmers are legally allowed to shoot a dog if its hassling a lamb. Could this be a case of man tries to protect family pet from farmer worried about a £80 lamb?
I wonder what type of gun was used. Didn’t loads of guns get illegally imported due to a lack of checks from Brexit queues.
This isn’t Alaska with a need to fend off polar bears or even wolves, there is no excuse for farmers getting to keep guns, if they “”need” to shoot someone’s dog harassing sheep they can go through the same route anyone else goes through for property damage – the courts.
We are seeing more gun crime in the UK including done through legally owned firearms, there are no excuses for needing a gun in this country. I don’t care if you like your gun club or are terrified of foxes, take them all away and make it an incredibly serious offence to be in possession for any reason.
Strange this is 10 days after he got shot they launch it as a murder investigation
It was either an accident, or it was targeted even if mistaken identity.
Random shootings like that are extremely are and would be very unlikely to stop at just the one.
