    And it was a 300 person strong mob in ~~the capital~~ a major city?! Not a handful of bums in bumfuck nowhere.

  4. Title seems a little poorly worded. The mob wanted to lynch her because they thought her dress was text from the Quran, and the police saved her. It’s a relief that she survived.

  6. Such things happen If you supress education in favor of religion.
    Not just a Muslim thing. ( but by this point in time they have this problem a lot)

    It’s just handy for fanatics and power hungary assholes to keep the people dumb enough and feed them enough lies so they do things you want because its something “god” wants. Bonus points If they can’t actually read the holy text so you can make shit up on the fly.

  7. As a pakistani, I’m very ashamed of this, I wish that we could be better instead of being ashamed on the world stage like this.

    FYI: the text on her dress wasn’t even remotely islamic, it was a word in arabic called “Halwa” which means sweet/beautiful and this is not even the worst part, even after the arrival of police on the scene, The woman was made to apologise to the clerics for a crime that she did NOT even commit.

    The guy/extremist cleric that started it all by inciting violence on the woman and ramping up the crowd came on an interview later and admitted that he could not read URDU (which is the national language), let alone ARABIC and was illiterate but still, there hasn’t been any legal action taken against him. 🤦🏽‍♂️

  18. When you’ve only ever seen Arabic text on buildings and holy books, it’s easy to make the wrong associations; especially when a few hundred people are saying something in unison. Critical thinking is as bad in the West. You only need to see those fat fucks on Medicaid in their red caps across major cities all over Dumbfuckistan.

  20. Thank goodness the women’s safe and just had to give an apology (even though she did nothing wrong and even if she did what she was accused of, doesn’t deserve this). Reminds me of that woman in Afghanastan, Farkhunda Malikzada who, a few years ago, got beaten and burned alive by one of these mobs because she was falsely accused of burning a quaran

    Absolute madness that these things can happen in 2024.
