Of course they outweigh the benefits. Cheap gas undercuts renewables and retrofitting for efficiency, which then requires subsidies and incentives to innovate. It expands total energy use. And it itself releases huge amounts of methane in the transmission process.
Biden has actually placed a semi-moratorium on permits for new LNG export infrastructure, which is a marvelous step.
