It’s difficult to comprehend this shift in policy from the Lithuanian government without some numbers to back it up. How many people were found to be detrimental to national security and why? What proportion does that represent? Unless some hard evidence is brought forward about the dangers those people pose, I see their mistreatment and subsequent departure as a loss for Lithuania.

Why aren’t all foreign nationals being screened? After all, there may be supporters of Russia among other nationalities as well.
Belarusians are [already leaving](https://www.lrt.lt/en/news-in-english/19/2206384/number-of-incoming-belarusians-drops-in-lithuania-migration-department) Lithuania. In the meantime, a young and well-educated workforce is choosing Poland which is all too happy to welcome them.

And what is the point of this questionnaire anyway? People actually dangerous won’t compromise themselves. Some may answer that Crimea is Russian (which is unfortunately factual at the moment), like that Ukrainian woman [who was allowed to stay](https://www.lrt.lt/en/news-in-english/19/2045234/ukrainian-woman-allowed-to-stay-in-lithuania-after-saying-that-crimea-belongs-to-russia) regardless. I just don’t see the rationale here.
