Americans are moving a lot less — and boomers may be to blame

  1. What stupid fucking clickbait BS. Things change blame the old people.

  2. Ridiculous title. Am I supposed to be irate that people who bought houses that they’re happy with and have low rates/paid off balances are staying put in said home? Why? Because they’re from my parents generation? Good, I hope they have pleasant retirements with lots of fulfillment and good times with their kids and grandkids.

  3. This is dumb. Let the old people stay in the houses they’ve paid for.

Better idea: BUILD MORE AFFORDABLE HOUSING!

  4. I’m glad that others have come to the same conclusion. I might not be the biggest “fan” of the Boomer generation, but if these folks own homes they certainly have the right to stay in them! I own a home that I might stay in for the rest of my life, and I don’t want to be “shamed” for it because the capitalist market sucks and fails to provide for people who work for money!

  5. Imagine having to rely on people dying so that you can be happy. What a way to live. /s

  6. I live in a smaller area. Absolute shit for affordable housing. It’ll take a decade before an apartment is built but old folk homes are flush here.

  7. “I’m gonna blame the boomers because I don’t want to exercise and am addicted to my phone”

  8. I’m surprised the government hasn’t started a house building campaign and created jobs and did a bunch of advertising with it. You’d think your population in homes would lead to increased birth rates so you wouldn’t have to rely on importing millions of immigrants all at once and could keep the country more stable.
