Backpacked around Europe in the late 90’s, in Barcelona I slept rough in a bush in a city park. When I woke up in the morning they had cut the bottom off my sleeping bag and nicked my shoes.
Every time I was there, someone stole stuff from me. So expect to get robbed, pick pocket or your car getting destroyed.
lol Is everyone just doing the standard 2we4u racism thing or do people actually hate this city? I fucking love Barcelona.
To be homesick
A lot of tourists and bad attitude from the locals.
Definitely a bazinga destination
1. Theft.
2. Targeting based off how wealthy and/or lost you look.
3. Locals disliking you.
4. Being overcharged.
5. Tourists.

If you’re lucky you will only get robbed a few times. If you’re unlucky you’ll get robbed and stabbed (a few times).

Go to Bobby’s free, a very cool speak-easy bar. You “need” a password though, which can most likely be found on their ig
Expect to wait ages for a drink, the Spanish aren’t known for their speed
Definitely visit la sagrada familia, it’s one of the most amazing cathedrals in the world.
Expect tourist traps, bad tapas and cheap sangria.
Many many many Spaniards.
Expect to get robbed by some engineers and doctors. Stay away from Raval and burn any tourist guide that tries to convince you it’s cool.
Go to the surrounding towns and cities instead, you can do Barcelona in one day anyway
Expect your iPhone to be stolen
You won’t see Sagrada Familia on its complete state. I’d postpone the trip for a few more years.
-Expect sexy women.
-Expect some good food, if you ask around.
-Expect great courses.
-Expect to make a claim on your travel insurance at some point..
-dont expect *whatever* these mrfkrs say. 😆.

Moroccan people stealing from tourists
Contrary to the general sentiment, I have to strike a blow for Barcelona and say it’s amazing. Yeah, it has issues, but the Barri Gòtic and the Ciutat Vella with the medieval architecture and monuments are great, Gaudí’s works are genius-level, particularly la Casa Batlló and obviously la Sagrada Familia.
Like all capitals and big cities it’s often overpriced food wise, but you can still find something good, and obviously expect lots of tourists.
