I’m fairly certain there’s a family up in Offaly who would beg to differ with the headline.
I’ve been hearing pretty mad stuff from some leading figures in Irish Policts and society. From co-ed schools for boys but not for girls (dont even know how that works) to abolishing masculinity.
I heard one of the leading public health experts suggest a certificate of good behaviour for men before they’re allowed to socialise.
I was all for a shift and rethinking last week but this talk is losing me and I’m sure many many normal and reasonable men.
Also strange headline. The worst outcome is probably for Ailsings family. But I think it’s a poor title. Its behind a paywall for me

I honestly thought the title was some kind of typo but what’s the bets all this men good men bad malarky will take away from the bigger issues with this case when we eventually find out he could of been out on bail or discharged himself from a mental ward ect and we end up making the same mistakes again.
We wouldn’t have the John Waters we know today without the Irish Times.
