  1. Recycling plastic doesn’t work. Recycling aluminum works great.

  2. Different materials have different benefits and challenges to being recycled. Making a blanket statement that “recycling doesn’t work” is propaganda.

    This is a wedge issue to get environmentalists to fight with other environmentalists so that we are distracted from fighting the real battles that matter.

  3. There’s a working group at the UN to create a Paris accords for plastic, with the goal of reducing plastic waste by up to 80% by 2045.

    So much plastic is completely unnecessary. I read something like 40% in the us is just generated by Amazon.

  4. So the oil industry knew about global warming for decades, and did nothing. Now the plastic industry, an offshoot of the oil industry, knew home recycling of plastics didn’t work either. Gotta love the oil industry… smh
