  1. > The Daily Mail reports this

Then it is a lie. Even true things, when reported by the Daily Mail, become lies.

  2. The conversation is genuine – it’s Ukrainian, frontline argo, they are quite buffled.

  3. Sometimes I hope they are secretly helping us avoid total annihilation, but it’s just a comforting daydream.

  4. The US is not helping, the EU doesn’t have enough weapons, so, the Aliens are checking to once for all finish this mess.

  5. Video seems to show it moving, at least rotating.

Even seasoned pilots have a hard time understanding movements they see in the air.

  6. At the end of the video it perfectly tracked with the camera panning so it’s obviously a video aberration nothing actually there. It was over Russian positions so maybe it was a western top secret ship there to ensure ukraines survival. I’m going with glitch in the thermal sensor.

  7. This can be explained by an anomaly called a [Superior mirage (temperature inversion).](https://www.eoas.ubc.ca/courses/atsc113/sailing/met_concepts/10-met-local-conditions/10f-optical-phenomena/)

Another example of a [floating tanker in Cornwall](https://www.theguardian.com/science/2021/mar/05/ship-hovering-above-sea-cornwall-optical-illusion).

  8. If they are here to witness historic events, they would’ve been everywhere during WW2.

  9. Nah, that’s just a Russian tank turret going on vacation, don’t worry.

  10. Fiction. An IR camera outputting an error message when pointed at it?!? That not how these things work. That line is line saying “ binoculars output an error message when pointing at an invisible man. “
    Pure fiction

  11. Nah. It seems to move with the camera or screen that they’re watching it on. It’s a blemish of some sort on the screen.

  12. We are in an alien strategy game, and the level of difficulty is increasing over time.

  13. Technically, if it is unidentified and it flies, and is an object, it is a UFO.

  14. It’s dirt on the housing. This is the second time I’ve seen the same thing.

Note how it increases in size with telephoto zoom (does not *appear* to be digital zoom but it’s a recording of a screen). I’m not a rando, I’m a professor of multimedia.

It’s also partially in focus. Probably a piece of grass that then fell off later during flight.

Occam’s razor, why are humans so superstitious?
