Ukraine has managed to put Ruzzian pilots into a world of shit with just the western aid and whatever was lying around collecting dust from the soviet times.
NATO forces could lockdown the airspace over Ukraine swatting down any Ruzzian target and occasionally flying sorties against the ground targets to completely hamstring and cripple the entire Ruzzian operation in Ukraine without a single boot on the ground.
It’s also a massive signal to the US. Keep supplying weapons to Ukraine or this could escalate to western troops, including US troops, fighting Russia.
I look forward to more talks where “Western troops on the ground is a possibility,” turns into, “Western troops will be on the ground shortly,” then finally, “Western troops are in Ukraine formally.”
It’s totally a sci-fi movie that eu ground troops arrive in Ukr Before the whole sky isn’t in control. So if eu arrive, we will see a giga shit storm of planes wiping out everything is moving. After that maybe we can see some very small striking group around the land.
The threat is what’s important. Politicians don’t seem to understand that telegraphing every pure intent and move is naive at best and absolutely retarded at worst.
