  1. If the UK had mob rule then he and his Tory thugs would have been chucked into the sea two years ago

  2. You allowed it to happen, to the point some wondered if it was all part of the plan…

  3. Well we have certainly been mugged repeatedly since 2010.

  4. Mob rule is more democratic than the process used to make him PM.

  5. This is truly pathetic now from Sunak. Utterly meaningless drivel.

  6. Culture wars haven’t worked so it must be time to fearmonger to garner votes.

  7. Constantly feeds off divisive politics are wonders why people are divided. Want a democracy then let the people vote you out!

  8. Yes you’re right. Not sure why you’re warning the police though.

Warn the government who have cut public funding and officer numbers. Warn the CPS and the courts who repeatedly let offenders off the hook with pathetic sentencing if any. Warn the media, whos constant propaganda has deceived the public into believing they understand the law and abuse the mental health card.

The military, the police, the nhs, schools – all the public institutions fundamental to a productive society are underfunded, overworked, over and politicised.

  9. The conservatives have been promoting populist mob rule for a decade, supported by money from foreign state actors (pooptin and also his cronies in the states). We need to get rid of them so we can start valuing reason again.

  10. Even were that to be true, who exactly is to blame? if only there were someone in charge overall, some form of leader, backed perhaps by a large party of likeminded peers given important positions and responsibilities for various sectors of the country?

In my opinion you’d be able to look at those kinds of people and point the finger, but alas, we have no such things it seems.

  11. God he is desperate isn’t he lol

“The country has gone to ruin! RUIN! Vote us in for another 4 years! 14 years wasn’t enough to set things right….”

  12. Wow. When you think the political discourse has hit the bottom, just wait to watch a Tory start digging…

  13. Gee, if only he was in a position of authority to do something.

  14. I wish the conservatives and labour would both f*ck off in all honesty. Two absolutely terrible options, and neither side of supporters give me “BuT wE aReNt As BaD aS tHeM”

You are, to all die hard labour and die hard tories, you are both a pile of sh*t.

  15. This is appalling. Fear mongering at its worst. He is echoing the comments Lee Anderson made last week, by implicating that the Gaza protests are some kind of extremist muslim takeover of the rule of law, while feigning concern for MPs welfare. If he was truly concerned for their welfare, he wouldn’t be engaging in this culture war bullshit.

  16. He’s doing it…….he’s trying to declare a state of emergency to avoid calling a GE.

  17. Funny how our wholly unelected leader is naturally wary of people’s opinions.

  18. It’s only you Tory parasites that are causing mob rule
Sooner you’re gone the better ..

  19. ‘you’re not effective’, says man who’s government slashed their numbers and funding. How is a guy that rich, this stupid?

  20. Over these politicians. They’re all out for themselves, not us. I can’t wait to show them mob rule!!

  21. As a member of the mob, I don’t feel like I’m ruling.

  22. If only there was some sort of minister in charge who could fund the services that may prevent this. Maybe we could call them the prime minister or something idk just an idea

  23. “I am going to do whatever it requires to protect our democracy and our values that we all hold dear,” he said

Which translates as exactly the words he said. Just words. Nothing more.

    Pathetic, paralysed twat.

  24. Alot of people are destitute, no money for food , nowhere to live, no hospital treatment, rotten teeth and crime is through the roof. People have really had enough now. The riots will start next.

  25. Imagine if the protests were anything like the ones that happen in France lol

  26. 14 years of failure as expressed in the words of the prime minister

  27. I mean the tories got rid of a ton of police.. under pay them, the officers get worked to death with little to no reward..

  28. If the UK is descending into mob rule, then that’s a MASSIVE failure of government.

Remind me, whi has been in power while we’ve descended into mob rule?

    Ah.

  29. ‘But justice minister Mike Freer, who is standing down at the next election due to safety fears, said the extra cash would “not go to the root cause” of why people felt emboldened to target MPs.
He said unless you deal with the cause you would just have “a ring of steel around MPs” and then “our whole style of democracy changes”.’

This is fucking scary tbf. We really are going that way aren’t we

Edit: just realised I hadn’t made it clear that by ‘that way’ I mean the far fucking right 🤡

  30. PM who leads the party that has been stripping the police of all funding for close to a decade shocked that lawlessness on the rise.

As Cilla would say, ‘surprise, surprise!!’

  31. is the mob made up of muslims? or is it transgender people this time?

  32. Is he actually fearing a violent revolution from the proles?

    Cos now he mentions it…

  33. Gaza protests have had 20 arrests that I know of, at most. Police themselves describe them as “overwhelmingly peaceful”.

Wheres the mob Sunak? Do you mean the collection of violent football hooligans that Suella summoned to the Cenotaph on remembrance Sunday?

  34. He’s getting pretty desperate isn’t he? I’m starting to feel like if he doesn’t win the next election he may go crazy overlord. It’s almost cartoon villainy now.

  35. If only the Tories were in power, they would’ve stopped this from happening

  36. The police should be defending the government?

Why? The government haven’t defended them. Cut upon cut

  37. Mob rule lol! This is the sort of shit only a *really* desperate government starts chucking around before election time.

  38. He’s got some *fucking nerve* talking about ‘allowing elected representatives to do their job.’

He – and most of his cabinet – have zero electoral mandate.

  39. I seem to remember a mob hanging around parliament for weeks with gallows and all sorts making sure ‘brexit meant brexit’. They didn’t seem to mind that. Reap what you sow.

  40. “Mr Sunak was speaking the day after the Home Office announced a £31m package aimed at protecting MPs, stating it was in response to the impact of the ongoing Israel-Hamas conflict.”

I actually can’t with this country, we are probably in the worst socioeconomic climate we’ve ever been in and he’s spending £31m on protecting MPs who aren’t even in any remote danger…

  41. Amazing how quickly they find the money to fund something the moment their feet get near the fire.

  42. Which is usually down to the government of the day.

  43. Mob rule would be great, him and his bigot friends would be strung up and gutted by now.

  44. As everyone knows, “when my side wins the elections, that’s the will of the people and democracy. When the other side wins the elections, that’s mob rule.”

  45. The government is the reason why this us happening as they under fund or steal money by sending it to a very small section of friends and family members, for government contracts that never really deliver what they are supposed to.
