From top to bottom among too many Russians, it can *never* be on them to fix their problems. It has to be Someone Else™. They want to ignore the example of the American Revolution, Red Turban Rebellions of the mid-1300s which ended Mongol rule of China, the Eastern European protests in 1989 (including the bloody but successful uprising in Romania) or even their stare-down of the attempted coup against Gorbachev in 1991, just because other revolts or uprisings have failed as in Moscow (1682), Hungary (1848-9, 1956), India (1857) or Belarus (2021).
Navalnaya’s pleas are just a variation of Putin or any similarly socially-clueless Russian looking at Someone Else™ (i.e. the “collective West”) for “holding back” Russians from their “rightful” place in the world. * rolls eyes *

While Navalniy was a bit cautious with his contacts with the West, Navalnaya directly meets with them, smiles, kisses, and thanks Nancy Pelosi. She does not even hide it. I don’t understand how people expect Navalnaya to mean something for Russians after this. Or Russians to trust her.
Navalnaya is essentially Greta Thunberg. She will give speeches, but ultimately her actions or speeches will not affect anything. At this point Navalnaya is a press figure for the west aimed towards citizens of western countries. Not a person intended to affect Russia from the inside.
The west should have played this differently if they wanted Russians to sympathize with her. A lost opportunity.

Navalny was russian ultra-nationalist, same as Zhirinovski, Putin himself, and bunch of other russian garbage.
He is dead not because he was pro-Ukraine, pro-democracy or pro-piece. He is dead because he was anti-Putin.
Russian garbage, including the lady in article, need to stop lecturing Europe on how to deal with Russias problems. As someone who has a lot of resentment for russians, especially in the last few years, you can’t ignore the important work that Navalny and his team have been doing! putin has neutered the russian population to live in fear and tow the line. The crime ring has a complete stronghold nationwide, not to mention the meddling abroad. Navalny’s team reaches out to the zombified russian population and encourages them to start opposing the regime. Surely, it hasn’t yet tipped the scales but he WAS doing tremendously positive work.
