Zomlot knows full well that until 7 October neither he, nor members of the Palestinian Authority, would be permitted by Hamas – on pain of death – to enter Gaza. Hamas caused this dreadful situation and the Palestinian Authority was derelict in not stopping Hamas. So now that Israel is doing the job the Palestinian Authority should have done he could show some criticism Hamas. But all that happens is that he is being given a platform to incite greater hatred of Israel.
