  1. Enige dat ik zie aan die lijst is dat ze niet echt gesproken hebben met iemand onder de 40.

  2. **What’s the single biggest problem in our country?**

    1. Migration (22%)
    2. Economy (20%)
    3. Political representation (14%)

    **1. Migration (22%)**

According to the article migration has proven to be the most important theme for the Flemish over the years, assuming there are no other pressing “hype theme” (such as ‘public health’ during the pandemic, or ‘energy’ and ‘national security’ at the beginning of the Russian invasion).

Old folks and middle class people tend to pick this theme more often. There is no difference between city or countryside.

    **2. Economy (20%)**

VB & PVDA voters have the most trouble to make ends meet. They also have the bleakest view on the evolution of our economy. Researchers note this is an evident theme for PVDA (as they are very much in favour of redistribution), but less so for VB.

VLD, NVA & CD&V voters have the least problems to make ends meet. VLD and CD&V voters have the most optimistic / least pessimistic view on our economy.

    **3. Political representation (14%)**

A large portion of the Flemish population doesn’t trust politicians, political parties, governments (on all levels), institutions, … The distrust is the largest among VB and PVDA voters.

    **Other themes**

The next theme is ‘Societal evolutions’ (including racism, polarisation, extremism, …) (7%), followed by ‘Criminality and justice’, ‘Poverty’ and ‘National debt’ (all 5%).

National security gets only 1% of votes. Researchers thought this would end up higher (because of the situations in Ukraine and Gaza).

  3. Interessant dat de vlaming wakker ligt over de koopkracht want met de automatische indexering (als enigste land in Europa) blijft onze koopkracht hetzelfde.
