England A&Es worse than Scotland and Wales on key 4 hour target. Today, the ONS published a comparison of the proportion of patients waiting more than four hours in A&E and found that on this key NHS measure, the worst performing was England, followed by Wales, with Scotland faring best.

  1. Scotland faring best.

I was in A&E last week and was waiting 7 hours.

Best is a stretch, say ‘least worst’. Its more accurate.

  2. I was in with my Daughter 2 weeks ago. I he Triage nurse dressed the wound quickly and then we had to wait to see a Doctor. After 5 hours it was 1:30am and they changed the board to 7 hour wait. I took her home and we went back at 8:00am.

If we are doing better than the other nations it is through manipulation and trickery.

  3. Once again, being marginally ahead of England in one moderately controversial metric does not equal any kind of success.

  4. Always people on here ready to beat Scotland down. If we had a 5 min wait time you’d still complain about something! Doctors and nurses do a fantastic job. Bit more positivity please 🙏🤷‍♂️
