  1. >They are watching me, frowning and sweaty, traversing the 5 foot between us like it’s a wooden plank on the Crystal Maze.

    This had me in stitches.

  2. The number of times I’ve read that whole thread and I still laugh out loud just thinking about –

    >By now, having been alone with my thoughts for the entire Cretaceous period, I am no longer mildly weird but deeply, extravagantly deranged.

  3. I read that a few years ago and thought it was brilliant. So well written and hilarious. Mary McAleese sounds like a really decent person too.

  4. The book Séamas wrote recently it’s well worth a read. “Did ye hear mammy died?”
It’s about how his mother died when he was young and he and his ten siblings were raised by his dad. It’s quite funny.

  5. Met Mary Mc Aleese once; came into a shop I worked in and bought some Christmas presents. Her credit card didn’t work the first time, ran it though a second time, she said “hopefully goes through this time”, I said “if not I know where you live”.
Neither she nor her security guards laughed

  6. >So at this point I’m thinking, wellll, I’m definitely fired but this will one day make a great story on an Nazi-riddled microblogging platform.

    Ha.
