Putin: Everything that the West comes up with and scares the whole world, really threatens a conflict with the use of nuclear weapons, which means the destruction of civilization. Do they not realize this?

    Every time the west has sought to appease Putin, it is seen as weakness and creates space for Russia to operate. Russia has been testing the Wests response since at least 2008 (with Georgia invasion) and because the response has been weak, it has been emboldened further.

    Its a Mafia mindset, as Kasparov says, Putin is not a 7d chess player, but a poker player, who constantly bluffs.

  8. I started watching his speech being broadcast live on BBC and had to turn it off after a few minutes. It was nauseating to listen to this inveterate old liar, and nauseating to watch the people in the audience believing or pretending to believe his lies.

  18. I think a lot of people miss read his remark. He is NOT saying the West will launch nukes at Russia. He IS saying Russia will launch nukes at the West in response to pressure.

    This is a bullying tactic, and he is trying to use MAD to get his way.

    A more clear interpretation would be to hear him say….

    I am sooo crazy I will nuke you if I do nit get my way.

    Or…

    I get my way or we all die.

    It would not be remiss to consider this a threat of murder-suicide.

  19. Just him attempting to commit nuclear blackmail and trying to trigger/target the fear some have. It’s purely information warfare. The most dangerous thing being to give into it. If you allow them to “gain” based on nuclear threats, you’re ironically only increasing the actual nuclear threat.

    The threat is literally also the only thing they have. A nuke won’t magically conquer and hold territory. If we look at susceptibility to nukes, Russia is waaaaay worse off compared to the West. Nobody wins a nuclear war – but the West would ultimately recover while a single nuke has the potential to end Putin’s regime as well as Russia as we know it. To any sain-headed Russian, it wouldn’t make any sense at all to use nukes.

    I think he’s just mad that his Air Force planes keep deciding they prefer to lie on the ground in pieces.
