The two main problems with carbon capture are scale and cost, and they’re interrelated. Who is going to pay the enormous cost to build and operate a carbon capture industry at the scale needed to capture any appreciable amount of carbon in the atmosphere?
I haven’t yet seen anything remotely sensible, just pie-in-the-sky concepts of sucking the carbon out of the atmosphere to slow or halt warming.
