Why concerns over the sustainability of carbon removal are growing

  1. The two main problems with carbon capture are scale and cost, and they’re interrelated. Who is going to pay the enormous cost to build and operate a carbon capture industry at the scale needed to capture any appreciable amount of carbon in the atmosphere?

    I haven’t yet seen anything remotely sensible, just pie-in-the-sky concepts of sucking the carbon out of the atmosphere to slow or halt warming.
