I don’t think he’s “targeting the BBC”. The only way they end up with direct government funding is if the government’s decided the licence fee can’t continue first. If they wanted to target the BBC, they’d leave them on the licence fee as the numbers of people paying it continues to freefall to nothing.
The vast majority of people in the UK are against the current BBC funding model.
A system where a company providing a supposed “optional” service is allowed to send big bouncers round your Gran’s house to shake her down at her doorstep is not OK.
