>After the meeting, French President Emmanuel Macron floated the prospect of sending troops into Ukraine, prompting a series of statements from Western allies — including Canada — who shot down the idea of sending combat soldiers into the war-torn country.
France has also talked about sending non-combat troops to Ukraine. No matter how well-intentioned, I don’t think most NATO countries would support such a step by either country.
We all know where this is heading .

Finally we are showing some spine and that we stand for the ideals we promote.
Russia has been attacking Canadian business and institutions via cyber and info warfare for decades now. These attacks happen every day. I do believe we should support Ukraine with non-combatants support troops.
If only NATO forces would take over border patrol functions on Belarus and Transnistria borders it would free up several Ukrainian brigades.

The West is warming up to the idea. It’s only a matter of time before boots are on the ground
And when the noncombatant is killed the liberal government will offer his grieving family MAID

Mmm bloody scary space for the soldiers being sent as a non combatant into that environment. Not only could things easily turn to shit where you are your own country could let you down because you weren’t actually in the battle.
Good luck to those who take it on.

Wtf is a “noncombat” troop? Lol. You mean like those French “aid” workers?
“Obviously this non-combat troops will have the right to defend themselveswith the full might of their repsective armies. But no, we dont want to fight Russia :)”
(Cough try us Putin cough)
Fight them now, or fight them later. Putin won’t stop.

Didn’t we already find out that the UK and others had staff in Ukraine helping with training?
