Reminder that hedge cutting ban comes into effect from tomorrow March 1st

  2. Never even knew this was a law!

    Does this apply to a person just trimming their garden hedge or is it more for significant cautting like in the above photo or for large (roadside) hedgerows etc?

  3. That explains it, our local council was doing a lot of hedge trimming and cutting today.

  4. Finished mine up today. Now to make a nice dead hedge.

  5. Hope it’s not like the slurry ban… Agricultural college spreading away in January in the ban and wrote about it in an article last week. 🙈

  6. At least this year half of West Cork and Kerry isn’t on fire. The fire crew were going non stop this time last year.

  7. Noticed about 200m of long standing hedges cut down in Whitehall last week, this must be why.

    The amount of birds it must have disturbed.

  8. I always keep my hedge trimmed do the fence looks bigger.

  9. Have we figured out how long we are going to leave the lawns for the bees this year?

    The less mowing I have to do the better.
