  1. They just keep talking about talking about maybe, possibly, coming to some agreement, someday.

    It’s like all other forms of aid to Ukraine… talk… promise… debate… wait a while… have a meeting… talk some more… more meetings… more discussion… wait… schedule another meeting.

Meanwhile, Ukrainian heroes continue to fight, struggle and die. For fucks sake, do something with that money!

  2. I have a great plan, use the money to buy weapons for ukraine. One massive 300-500 billion USD military aid package.

The frozen russian money is still less than russia already stole and used from foreign investments. We are too lenient with it.

  3. As the article hints at, this is a political conflict between Anglosphere nations and mainland Europeans about approving the seizing of those assets to fund the arms transfers. This looks really appealing to Biden because it can help sway Republicans in support of aid by having a foreign country pay for it. While Europeans are concerned about the effect on their trustworthiness. The E.U. seized money from accounts in Cyprus before, the U.S. seized funds from Afghanistan’s Government in Exile to pay terror victims before, so it’s not all completely without precedent.

  4. They keep talking of doing this.. but they haven’t told behind who is this, that it has not happened yet and taking so fucking long?
