[Quick and dirty] More possible variations on EU passports, based on suggestions from previous thread.

  1. Did France get Comic Sans? If anything, this proves how difficult good design is.

  2. What’s up with the EU passport discussion? I’m out of the loop. That aside, I like 3.

  3. The 2. one with the big star in the middle a bit feels like the CCCP switched colors to blue, but I like its font.

For the intergalactic passport, you definitely need Latin Modern.

  4. Definitely better than the last lot!! I like the blue. It needs some sort of threatening animal on there too. Perhaps a panther or an eagle.

  5. I like it

But #2 looks like an alt history flag from HoI4

  6. I like the third one. Looks modern but not *too* modern and it also keeps the national designs

  7. These are way nicer. I always thought blue makes more sense for EU passports than red.

  8. I hate the blue but I’ll take it if they use comic sans

  9. Imagine how funny it’d be if the EU members made their passports the same shade as the angry Brexit passports. That’d enrage so many of my middle aged countrymen and women.

  10. 2nd one just hits different, you know? It just feels right.

  11. I like no.3, but overall I think I’d prefer to keep my current, burgundy-coloured passport. Its a colour unlike anything else I own so it stands out among my things in a bag and also carries a significance that something important is happening – I’m travelling and it’s exciting.

A blue one with gold lettering would look very like my Credit Union account booklet, or any number of other things I own and not feel so special.

Whatever the changes, i definitely wouldn’t want to lose my country’s own individual motif (the harp).

  12. Finnish one looks good. I like the coat of arms in the middle of the stars.

  13. I like the top right one, I think it’s a good mix between the current national passports and a European one.

  14. I like the bolder solid stars of 1 but with the centered text of 2.

  15. For future reference and clarity, the design needs the words, “not Russia”, under the name and symbol for each EU country so geographically and historically challenged Russians know what isn’t part of the mythological “Russian Empire”.

  16. Nice. I’d vote for option 1, but 2 and 3 are also good. As long as the interior pages are still unique to each country, I’m sold.

Bonus points for pissing off any brexiteers who just wanted blue passports again.

    Okay, Brussels, your move.

  17. Number 3 is best.

Also why is France getting Comic Sans? do you have something against us?
