  1. Take a look at what happened to Aleppo.

And is still happening in Aleppo, Idlib – and in Hama and Homs.

And what happened to Bosnia – Herzegovina, to Sinjar, to Mosul, and to Kirkuk.

Macron and Draghi, the French state, and Spain and The Netherlands are not going to be comfortable until all of Europe looks like Kandahar at the end of the winter of 2022.

  2. Dara is correct. Force preservation is name of the game here.

Ukraine has no ability to strike back, but as long as they can deflect and avoid Russian strikes they have a miniscule fighting chance.

They must not allow themselves to be caught by surprise and obliterated in the opening days of the conflict.

Basically, I think the upcoming fight is about survival of the Ukranian military and critical infrastructure. Once that goes, they’ll have to yield.

  3. Ukraine has a lot of anti-aircrat firepower, including such systems as Tor-M1, S-300 and Buk. The real question is how effectively it’s connected into anti-aircraft net, its combat readiness and how Ukraine modernized it during last 30 years.

It would be massive negligence if they didn’t do anything about it since 2014.
