Should have just fined the knuckle dragging idiot and give him community service to serve the community he’s offended.
More serious crimes go without custodial sentences regularly.
Not even remotely defending this guy’s actions but an immediate custodial sentence for something like this is absurd, especially when considering the kind of far more serious crimes that routinely result in people being given suspended sentences.
Seen people get a suspended sentence for far far worse.
Why are we giving more power to words over actions now?

Throwing someone in jail for this will only increase white supremacy as they think they’re being oppressed and this fuels those opinions. Educating him and forcing him to do community service would be far more beneficial. The man who robbed my work van was not put on jail and he robbed two more work vans.
