Northern Spain seems to be the thing. If you wondered what the most Southern spot in Spain (on the mainland) looks like, here it is. It’s a pier in front of a small naval base right by the Gibraltar Straight.

Oh, literally the most southern spot in mainland Spain. I thought this was going to be a picture of a flamenco dancer eating fried fish on the beach and shouting “Ole!”
Isn’t it in Tarifa, by the lighthouse?
Gibraltar is not Spain, and it is not up north, not even for an ‘aussie’ or someone from the other hemisphere, sorry, get better intel from now on ;))
Sorry it s not. It s Tarifa.

The most southern spot in Spain is in Santa Cruz de Tenerife. The most southern spot in the peninsule is in Tarifa
To be honest, southern Spain is a landscape that is a little far from the image of a rich country. Of course, large cities such as Seville and Malaga are cool, but the countryside doesn’t feel like an advanced country.
