Congratulations to the happy couple, I suspect lots of media coverage of this, as the BBC have just done with this as a ‘Breaking News’ story, suggests lots of distraction in the months ahead. Expect photos of Yousaf actually kissing the baby and carrying it about on the campaign trail…
Best wishes to him, his partner and the rest of his family – I hope he’s able to take the time out he needs to support his family with their new child (and admittedly I’m slightly curious to see who steps up while he’s away).
Congratulations to them. Not a fan politically but I wouldn’t wish going through multiple miscarriages on anyone or any couple. Some happy news for them.

I didn’t realise he was only 38. That’s not even that old to be having a kid at, especially nowadays.
