It’s incredible how some people lack critical thinking when reading this article.
The supervised consumption of drugs is not only a social measure to prevent diseases, but it also helps CNS and health services to reduce the burden of having to treat those diseases later on. There will always be users, and don’t forget they are all humans. At least a % of them are going to receive help and stay in a relatively safe environment.
People seem to think I am being heartless. I do care and I agree we should help these people but I don’t understand why they make the lives of people around the center miserable? This country is pretty empty surely there would be a better place for this center than right in the most densly populated areas of the whole country.

Yes, but that’s not the logical conclusion. Politicians seem not to care a lot about drug dealers. Street addicts come as collateral damage, so we are treating a symptom rather than eradicating the cause
Abrigado Expansion = more people can benefit of the services = likely that also the drug dealers in the area will have more clients.
