Anyway jokes aside, this isn’t particularly odd or cause for concern. Bisexuality in an increasingly wide range of animals has been documented for over a hundred years now. Unlike intersex anatomy in fish and amphibians, it is unrelated to environmental pollutants.

The problematic, hate-justifying bit of Leviticus is one line, two at a stretch, which everyone outside a handful of scholars will be reading in translation of a translation of a translation etc. Scribes and authors always use the language of their time, which actually changes quite rapidly. Finally, whales can’t read.
Anyone else hate when news sites don’t link to the actual external article written by researchers, or at least to the organisation?
