I work for a university that has a board of directors that essentially controls the purse strings and sometimes even curricular matters. What qualifications do any of these board members have in higher ed? Nada. They are just uber wealthy donors who used their names to buy influence, because that’s how boards of directors work. I’d be much more concerned if Hunter was hired as chief scientist for an energy company, but in reality, most boards are just there for PR and fundraising purposes. It’s baffling to me that people don’t understand how wealth works.
No wonder they wanted a closed-door meeting, they embarrass themselves as soon as they open their mouths. On the other hand, Hunter Biden is quick and point on with his answers, sometimes with some humor that eludes the Republicans.
