Prince William Meets Mining Disaster Victim’s Relative

The Prince of Wales has visited the Gresford Colliery Disaster Memorial during his trip to north Wales. This year marks the 90th anniversary of what was one of the most serious disasters in British coal mining history. During the visit, The Prince met relatives of those who were killed in the disaster and committee members who set up the memorial.

  10. I remember the episode Aberfan from the Crown series.
    Just seeing the real people whose relatives and friends, must have been among the school children who died in that coal mine disaster back in Oct. 1966, i am almost reduced to tears.

    From the Crown series, senior members of the British royal family visited Aberfan, including the late British monarch her majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
