Kind of a schizophrenic approach to both provide bombs to Israel and then also feed Palestinians like we are the humanitarians. It’s not like they don’t know where all the bombs are coming from.

So stupid, they can just tell Israel to stand down and pull back or US will stop billions of dollars we funnel to Israel annually. But no we’re not going to do that, instead we will drop the Palestinians some scraps so we can go around saying and patting our selves on the back how generous America is. Despite the fact that we are enabling this shit, blocked every UN resolution, so shameful!
One wonders if the IDF will be using this as an opportunity to kill off more Palestinians ‘like fish in a barrel’ under the guise of killing ‘Hamas militants’. Civilian lives be damned, in the IDF’s eyes it’s one less Palestinian as a whole towards wiping them off the face of the earth. No, I’m not a fan of the currently Israeli government. Sounds like the US is avoiding having a public conversation with Israel regarding the humanitarian crisis. Airdrops food instead of condemning the actions of the IDF and requesting a safe passage on the ground.
Everyone saying this isn’t enough, and it’s a meaningless gesture – yes to the first, no to the second.
This is a pretty strong political gesture that Biden is getting very sick of Israel’s shit. It’s a public distancing of the US from one of its closest allies, in a direct but deniable contradiction of Israel’s stance that they’re only killing Hamas. It’s a not-so-subtle message that he’s done expending political capital for them.
What I find astounding is that the UN has been feeding Gaza for more than a decade .
You cannot tell me that Hamas didn’t have the funds or means to purchase food by other means.
They became dependent on the world’s aid and armed themselves and dug tunnel networks and made rockets. And for what ? To get absolutely wrecked ?
Not that it matters now … but damn people live to tell this story in the present and will fail to see how Hamas neglected most basic needs for their own damn people.
It’s a start.
I’ve been critical of Biden but this is a first step. It is almost as if there was a public pressure campaign pushed by some kind of election math or something.

Our goal should be to stop the targeting of civilians and facilitate peace as quickly as possible. Short of that, this is a good move.

Trump would make the whole situation worse. Let’s vote for the better man. Check your registration, get an ID , learn where your poling station is, learn who is running in down ballot races. Pay attention to primaries not just for the president but for all races, local, state and federal. From the school board to the White House every election matters. The more support we give the democrats from all levels of government the more they can get good things done.
Last year democrat victories in Virginia and Pennsylvania and others across the nation have increased the chances of democrats winning this year. This year’s elections are important but so will next year’s elections.

Hey Israeli Canadian here, just saying I think it’s great that people are getting airdropped aid, it means that Hamas doesn’t have a chance to vet through the aid, the way they do when coming through the border. This is excellent news, wishing the innocent well at this hard time.
