sadly generally wokism and equal opportunities doesn’t actually work. In time it just solidified the class system so it doesn’t matter if you’re English or whatever you need to be the “right sort” of whatever. weirdly though Irish people never get class attributed to them in Britain as long as you can form sentences properly, the average British upper class or middle class person doesn’t know your background and will broadly instantly assume because you’re with them its the same as them.
There’s also the historical reasons that we speak the same language and are broadly similar, historical immigration policy has been kind to irish people and the effect of brain drain on Ireland as place with fewer opportunities than the city of london.
