2. They call this a haboob. Translates into breeze and is the word for sandstorms. Irregular thing and comes with the nature. Gives this video almost a dystopian setting considering what’s going on.

7. This was a regular occurrence for us in Iraq in late 2004-2007. Brings back wild memories. The drivers here definitely used the weather/environmental conditions to their favor. Not a good day for anyone involved.

8. Fighters have been using sandstorms to conceal their attacks for a long time. I think one blast going off is a lot less terrifying than a few hundred guys on horseback running into your camp unseen.

9. One of the most insane ISIS svbied videos I’ve seen back then was from Iraq when they methodically used one svbied after another to first breach the barricades to a multi storey house and then sent more to essentially collapse the whole block with its defensive positions. Crazy times.
