Boff thinks that’s clever does he? Cos it seems more like a vacuous soundbite. He offers no insight into the causes of the problems in the hospitality industry or how to combat those.
Venue licensing is down to the boroughs, all the mayor’s office can really do is offer later running TFL services and try and persuade others to participate, they have very little actual power here.
Amy Lame is fucking rubbish however.
It’s property developers and gentrification that have shut down most of the clubs, I think I can guess who they vote for.
Welp, guess the Wonka thing is officially no longer funny if a Tory MP is referencing it.
The original, the remake, the prequel or the Edinburgh experience?
Nightime economy , she probably works 9-5 Mon to Fri
Night Czar 130k a year, resign ffs and let industry leaders take over
Wasn’t it the Met that blocked certain places from staying open late at night?
I Unironically think the night czar should be forced to work night shifts so that they are actually driven to improve London’s nightlife (I’m not just referring to clubs and bars, literally anything else is cool, cafes, food outlets, whatever)
